A week long series of events to promote conservation. Celebrated since 1969.
Conservation Week activities are co-ordinated by local Department of Conservation offices, in association with a wide range of agencies and groups including iwi, regional and city councils, schools, conservation organisations, churches, and businesses.
Throughout conservation week I will be posting updates of events and commenting on what is happening. Conservation week is a great opportunity to get involved in some great environmental educational events. The Department of Conservation has a interactive New Zealand map on there website showing conservation week events by region.
